Upcoming Movie Adaptations You Should Watch This Year!

Welcome to our first episode of Beautiful Finds Wednesdays! Now since movie adaptations are becoming more and more of a hit, featuring it at an episode launch would be the best.

Books to Movies

Movie adaptations are films that have been derived or inspired by a novel (mostly bestselling or most intriguing) that have hit the market. However, while the film is meant to follow exactly what’s in the novel, it’s just not possible at all because it won’t even fit in the whole 2 hours maximum for instance. Definitely we should just expect the movie to be awesome as it’ll always have its own angle to both fit the novel and make the movie a blockbuster hit. For instance, movie adaptations that have rocked the theaters are: Harry Potter, The Lord of the Rings, The Hunger Games and much, much more. Here are Books Beauty choices for this year:

World War Zdirected by Marc Foster, starring Brad Pitt, James Badge Dale, Mireille Enos; based on the novel by Max Brooks (June)

Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters – directed by Thor Freudenthal, starring Logan Lerman, Nathan Fillion, Alexandra Daddario; based on the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series by Rick Riordan (August)

After the success of The Lightning Thief last 2010, here comes the sequel. In order to restore their dying safe haven, the son of Poseidon and his friends embark on a quest to the Sea of Monsters to find the mythical Golden Fleece and to stop an ancient evil from rising. Watch trailer

The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones – directed by Harald Zwart, starring Lily Collins, Jamie Campbell Bower, Robert Sheehan; based on City of Bones by Cassandra Clare (August)

Carrie – directed by Kimberly Peirce, starring Chloë Grace Moretz, Julianne Moore, Judy Greer; based on Stephen King’s bestselling horror Carrie (October)

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire – directed by Francis Lawrence, starring Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth; sequel to The Hunger Games based on The Hunger Games series by Suzanne Collins (November)

As Katniss and Peeta embark on a “Victor’s Tour” of the districts, Katniss senses that a rebellion is simmering, but the Capitol is still very much in control as President Snow prepares the 75th Annual Hunger Games. Watch trailer
